The role supports patient data collection, basic care tasks, clerical duties, and coordination of interdepartmental and inter-hospital transfers, including EMS handoffs, to ensure timely communication and patient safety across the lifespan.

Qualifications

• High School diploma plus EMT/CNA or Medical Assistant training (2 months to 2 years)
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Current BLS/CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Performs technical skills under supervision of ED physicians and RNs for patients of all ages.
• Assists staff with patient data collection, patient care, clerical duties, and communicates appropriately.
• Assists with interdepartmental and inter-hospital transfers, including EMS handoffs.
