Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England is seeking an Emergency Department Tech to assist physicians and provide high-quality patient care at Johnson Memorial Hospital. The role includes supporting the care team across a variety of medical conditions and documenting in the patient’s EHR.

Responsibilities include basic nursing tasks, vital signs, specimen collection, EKGs, point-of-care testing, and observing patients under RN supervision.

Qualifications

• Must possess a minimum of a high school diploma/GED.
• Ability to pass drug screenings and background checks.
• CPR/ Basic Life Support certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document in the patients' electronic health record (EHR).
• Provide basic nursing care such as ADLs, vital signs, intake/output and weight.
• Perform procedures and treatments such as EKGs and point of care testing.
• Monitor and respond to patient restraints and constant observation as directed by RN.
• Educate patients and families so they understand the care being provided.
