Job summary

Frederick Health Hospital is seeking an Emergency Department Tech to join our fast-paced ED team. This on-site, full-time role supports Registered Nurses with patient care, vital signs, and essential procedures in a busy 60-bed ED.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and comprehend medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and records patient’s vital signs and weight.
• Assists patients to disrobe providing privacy and care of personal possessions.
• Initiates cardiac monitoring and performs 12 Lead EKG’s as directed.
• Performs venipuncture, IV catheter placement/removal and collects specimens.
• Assists in transferring a patient to diagnostic areas using a stretcher or wheelchair.
