Job summary

Summa Health System, Akron Campus, seeks an ED Technician I for 36 hours per week (7a-7:30p). The role supports the Emergency Department by collecting specimens, performing limited tests, and assisting physicians and nurses with procedures.

Strong patient care, communication, and teamwork are essential. Qualified candidates include Medical Assistant graduates or Ohio EMT-certified individuals with at least 1 year of patient care experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of approved Medical Assistant program or certification by the State of Ohio as an EMT or equivalent combo of education and experience

Responsibilities

• Collects and performs limited tests of specimens per physician order.
• Assists physician and nurse with designated procedures.
• Maintains patient records and related clerical duties.
