Job summary

Essentia Health in Brainerd/Baxter, Minnesota, is seeking an Emergency Services Technician to support the ED team. You will provide direct patient care under RN supervision, perform wounds care, EKGs, POCT, and assist with transfers while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Shift patterns include evenings with 56 hours per pay period and every other weekend. BCLS within 1 month of hire; EMT/LPN/CMA or nursing student candidates encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision.
• Complete safety and comfort measures for patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform CPR and wound care with dressings.
• Assist with splinting and immobilization.
• Conduct EKGs and POCT testing.
• Obtain throat swabs and culture specimens.
• Assist with ambulation and transfers.
• Support nutrition and personal hygiene needs.
• Maintain clean, safe patient environment.
