The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking an Emergency Department Technician I/II to support nursing staff in a Level III Trauma ED in Orangeburg, SC. The role involves vital signs, EKGs, specimen collection, telemetry monitoring and patient transport under RN supervision.
Requirements include EMT or CNA certification, phlebotomy certification for ED Tech II, and current BLS. High school diploma and some medical experience are preferred.
The Emergency Department Tech I has C.N.A. or EMT certification. Conveniently located in Orangeburg, SC at a Level III Trauma Emergency Department! The Emergency Department Technician reports to the Nurse Manager. Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Emergency Department Technician II performs multi-skilled activities to support a decentralized patient-centered approach to patient care and achieve desired outcomes.
