Job summary

The Royal Hobart Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Department team, working within a busy, multidisciplinary environment. The role supports care across ED and EMU with opportunities during the ED redevelopment.

You will be part of the Tasmanian Health Service expanding services, with a focus on patient safety, education, and professional development within a high-demand setting.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of continuous quality improvement (safety and quality) and the application of evidence based practice in the practice setting.
• Ability to undertake patient/client education in the practice setting, together with a commitment to participate in ongoing professional development.
• Current knowledge of, and the ability to apply nursing principles, procedures and practices in the delivery of patient/client care in a designated practice area and in line with legal requirements and the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board (NMBA) Registered Nurse standards for practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in the Emergency Department alongside a multidisciplinary team of over 500 colleagues.
• Support the ongoing redevelopment of the ED/EMU to meet patient needs and ensure high-quality care.
