Job summary

UnityPoint Health at Iowa Methodist Medical Center is seeking dedicated Registered Nurses for our Adult Emergency Department. This ACS-verified Level I Trauma Center serves about 45,000 patients each year and delivers high-acuity care in a fast-paced environment.

We offer a $20,000 sign-on bonus, a 7p-7a shift with every 4th weekend and every other holiday, and a RN Residency program for newly licensed nurses or those with less than 12 months of acute RN experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program.
• Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in Iowa.
• Newly licensed nurse or less than 12 months acute RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Start dates are dependent on licensure, onboarding, unit availability as well as your personal preference.
• All newly licensed RNs and RNs with less than 12 months of acute RN experience at the time of application are required to participate in the RN Residency program.
• Successfully functions as a Registered Nurse as defined in Iowa Nursing Regulations and Practice Act, providing nursing care within UnityPoint Health-Des Moines’ Professional Nurse Practice Model.
