Job summary

The Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc. in Boston seeks a Staff Nurse to provide skilled bedside care in the Emergency Department on a 36-hour night rotation.

The RN applies nursing standards, plans, implements and evaluates patient care for adults with varying acuity, and ensures safe, evidence-based practice. Required is a Massachusetts RN license and a BSN or higher; ACLS/BLS, TNCC, 2+ years ER experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
• Massachusetts RN license required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required; TNCC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate a care plan for a specific patient assignment.
• Set priorities when organizing care for patients with varying acuity.
• Maintain clear and concise communication with the healthcare team.
• Develop and document comprehensive plans of care and discharge plans.
• Administer medications safely according to established policies.
• Collaborate with other disciplines and participate in quality programs.
• Educate patients and families and participate in unit and organizational education.
