Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System in Kansas City is seeking a Clinical Nurse II (RN) for the Emergency Department’s Evergreen Heart Center on the night shift. You will provide comprehensive nursing care, assessments, documentation, and care planning for a diverse patient population while collaborating with the care team.

Candidates must hold an RN license in Kansas or a compact state, be able to obtain BLS within 14 days, and have ADN with BSN planned within 5 years; 2+ years of clinical

Qualifications

• Registered nurse license (Kansas or compact) required.
• BLS certification required within 14 days of hire.
• ADN with BSN planned by the fifth anniversary for ADN-hired after 2017.
• Minimum 2+ years of RN experience as Clinical Nurse.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care through assessment, documentation, planning and evaluation.
• Coordinate care delivery and education with patient, family and health care team.
• Follow organizational policies to ensure safe patient care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
