Job summary

Boundary Community Hospital in Bonners Ferry, ID seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department. The role covers triage, discharge planning, and safe, timely nursing care for ED patients.

Qualifications

• Current Idaho RN license is required.
• 3 years of ED nursing experience preferred.
• Basic EKG interpretation preferred (required within 6 months).
• ACLS, TNCC & BLS certification required.
• ENPC or PALS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients on presentation to the ED and triage first aid as indicated.
• Determines priority of care and assigns patient to appropriate care area.
• Establish IV lines and administer IV therapy, blood products, subcutaneous and oral meds.
• Documents in EHR: presenting complaint, vitals, meds, assessments and orders.
• Coordinates patient care with attending physician and documents questions or concerns.
