Qualified candidates hold an Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing, must have RN licensure, and be prepared to obtain a BSN within 5 years. BLS/CPR certification is required and prior acute care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing required.
• New hires must obtain a BSN within 5 years of hire.
• BLS/CPR (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers) required.
• Current RN licensure.
• Knowledge of biological, physical, behavioral and nursing sciences to meet complex care needs.
• Membership in a related professional organization preferred.
• 1+ year full-time or 2+ years part-time acute care experience preferred.
• Specialty certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing patient and family assessments and document findings.
• Plan and coordinate care, including discharge planning, with the healthcare team.
• Provide safe, therapeutic care, maintain patient autonomy and dignity.
• Administer medications and treatments per policy, monitor effects.
• Educate patients and families; supervise and train other staff as needed.
