Job summary

MaineGeneral Health in Maine is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join our ED team at Thayer Center for Health in Waterville and Alfond Center for Health in Augusta. This 24-hour per week role includes weekend and holiday rotation and cross-training across campuses.

You will plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, triage based on acuity, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional care.

Qualifications

• Active Maine RN licensure or ability to obtain quickly.
• At least 2 years of RN experience; ER experience strongly preferred.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, MOAB, TNCC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans based on assessment.
• Monitor, document, and communicate patient condition timely.
• Triages and prioritizes care by acuity and resources.
• Collaborate across disciplines for transfer, discharge, referrals and support needs.
• Educate patients and families, tailored to age and culture.
• Delegate care to ancillary staff; may precept students.
