Thompson Health’s Emergency Department seeks a Registered Nurse with experience in acute care to join a high-performing team in Canandaigua, NY. The role features a 36-hour weekly schedule across day/evening/night shifts with rotating weekends and holidays, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualified candidates will hold NYS RN licensure, have 1+ year med/surg experience, and be graduates of an accredited nursing program; ACLS/BLS are required with TNCC/ENPC/CEN preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid NYS Nursing Licensure.
• Minimum 1-year med/surg experience.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for ongoing assessment and rapid identification of changes in condition
• Crisis intervention and management
• Provide ongoing patient and family education
• Facilitate and arrange for appropriate discharge plan
• Support the Emergency Dept. and nursing professionals by participating in dept. meetings and serving on hospital committees.
