Job summary

St. Michael Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver compassionate, high-quality care in our Emergency Department.

You will perform comprehensive assessments, implement care plans, and collaborate with physicians, ED techs, and social workers to optimize patient outcomes. Ideal candidates have WA RN licensure and current BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, with residency or ED/CC experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Registered Nurse: WA licensure at hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR required at hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 60 days of hire.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 12 months of hire.
• Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course within 12 months of hire.
• Trauma Nurse Core Course within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care with focus on patient assessment and safety.
• Administer, oversee and document medications per orders and policies.
• Document care and patient status using nursing process and coordinate discharge planning.
• Collaborate with ED team to support rapid assessment, treatment and patient flow.
