Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. You will assess, treat, and educate patients with emergent needs while collaborating with physicians and a multidisciplinary team.

Minimum one year RN experience and an active SC or compact state license are required. BLS certification is mandatory; ACLS/PALS and other certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum of one year of Registered Nurse experience.
• Current RN license through SC Board or compact state.
• BLS certification (AHA) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to ED patients.
• Utilize nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and coordinate with care teams.
• Educate patients and families on treatment, medications, and follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold safety and quality standards.
