Job summary

Nutex Health is seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to provide immediate, high-quality care to patients with acute medical conditions. The role involves rigorous patient assessment, accurate triage, and collaboration with physicians and ER staff to implement care plans.

Responsibilities include emergency care across age groups, medication administration with the five rights, infection control, and ongoing professional development to uphold patient safety and care standards.

Qualifications

• Two years of emergency room experience.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Licensure with the State Board of Nurse Examiners for your state.
• Current BCLS/CPR, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, and TNCC preferred.
• Educational requirements appropriate for age-specific needs in the emergency center.
• Validate clinical skills outlined in the orientation checklist and maintain annual clinical competency.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients with head-to-toe evaluations and psychosocial assessments to determine severity.
• Triage patients to ensure timely care based on urgency.
• Provide emergency care for neonates to geriatrics following established protocols.
• Administer medications accurately with the five rights.
• Supervise ER Technicians and other staff to ensure efficient workflow.
• Advise patients and families about procedures and treatment plans.
