Job summary

Great Plains Health is seeking an Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care following policies and professional standards while ensuring documentation and compliance with regulatory requirements.

The role requires BLS, an active RN license, and ongoing certification as needed. The incumbent will work in a high-acuity environment with a focus on patient-centered care and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in state of practice, compact or temporary license.
• BLS certification is required.
• Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and document nursing care per policies and professional standards.
• Formulate discharge plans with patient/family input and collaborate with care team.
• Implement and supervise care per physician orders and nursing plan of care.
• Evaluate patient and family response and revise the care plan as needed.
• Document assessments, planning, and outcomes accurately in the patient record.
• Provide care based on best available evidence and mentor other staff when appropriate.
• Contribute to quality outcomes and participate in professional activities.
