Job summary

Emerson Health's Emergency Department is seeking a Registered Nurse to join a fast-paced, life-saving team. You will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care across all ages on the day shift, using the full nursing process and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

You bring a Massachusetts RN license, BLS (ACLS and PALS/ENPC within 6 months), and a patient-focused approach with strong assessment, communication and critical thinking skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program.
• Massachusetts RN license.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• PALS or ENPC within 6 months of hire.
• CEN strongly encouraged.
• Previous ED experience preferred.
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
• Comfort with computers; confidentiality.
• Collaborative spirit and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality care to patients in the Emergency Department using the nursing process.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Communicate effectively with physicians and healthcare partners to coordinate care.
• Provide patient and family education during moments that matter most.
• Supervise and delegate to support staff while mentoring colleagues.
• Stay current with continuing education and emergency care competencies.
• Participate in department and hospital initiatives to advance patient care.
• Uphold patient rights to privacy, respect, and dignity in every interaction.
