Job summary

UC Irvine Health – Los Alamitos is recruiting a Clinical Associate Physician to deliver patient care in the Emergency Department. The role demands an MD or DO, CA licensure, and adherence to UC policies and documentation standards, with ongoing training and compliance obligations.

Compensation includes a base salary range shown, potential year-end incentives, and a robust benefits package; schedule is 128 hours per month (1,536 hours/year).

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership in clinical teams and quality improvement initiatives.
• Adherence to UC policy, privacy laws and departmental objectives.
• Strong communication with faculty, residents, staff and peers in a team-based care setting.
• California medical licensure and board certification requirements.
• Active DEA certification and ability to practice medicine in California.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in the Emergency Department at UCI Health – Los Alamitos.
• Complete required trainings and comply with Compliance Office and Medicare regulations.
• Maintain proper documentation and meet hospital standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
