Job summary

Winona Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician for a part-time to full-time role (0.5–0.9 FTE) in Winona, Minnesota. The ED handles 14,000–15,000 visits per year in a Level IV trauma and stroke-certified facility.

The position offers a strong team of physicians, physician assistants and nurses, with advanced imaging and airway equipment, and a comprehensive benefits package including CME, malpractice coverage with tail, relocation support, and loan

Qualifications

• Post-graduate residency in internal medicine (ACGME, AOA or equivalent).
• Active Minnesota medical license required.
• Board certification or active process toward certification in Internal Medicine (ABIM/ABMO).
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Join an established team of physicians, physician assistants, nurses and support staff.
• Provide care in a Level IV trauma and stroke certified emergency department.
• Utilize bedside ultrasound, in-department CT, and other state-of-the-art equipment; participate in rapid, evidence-based care.

Education

Residency in Internal Medicine (ACGME/AOA)

Minnesota medical license

Board Certification/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or ongoing ABIM/ABMO certification

Current BLS certification

Board Certified/Board Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician
Part Time to Full Time - 0.5 - 0.9 FTE

• Full-time and part-time, employed positions joining an established team of Physicians, Physician Assistants, nurses and support staff
• Full-time and part-time nights or day/night opportunities
• 14,000-15,000 visits annually
• Level IV trauma and stroke certified facility
• Electronic Medical Record (Oracle/Cerner) with Dragon dictation
• Progressive team of providers committed to quality; evidence-based care, exceptional patient satisfaction; and integrated technology
• Bedside ultrasound, in-department CT, fiber optic intubation equipment and other state of the art equipment
• 24/7 radiology, stroke and psychiatry services

Requirements:

• Successful completion of a post-graduate residency in internal medicine accredited by the ACGME, AOA or equivalent
• Maintenance of an active Minnesota medical license
• Current certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine or the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine or active participation in the examination process leading to certification in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine or the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine
• Current Certification in BLS
