Qualifications

• Current CPR certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• EMT-B Certification preferred.
• Completed accredited nursing assistant training or minimum six months of patient care experience or EMT-B.
• Completion of care companion course within six months if required by the department.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to ensure patient safety, comfort and well-being.
• Follow established procedures for patient care activities and document as required.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and comfort measures as directed.
