Job summary

Rochester Regional Health seeks a Patient Care Technician for Unity Hospital Emergency Department. You will provide direct or indirect patient care under licensed nurses, perform routine tasks, and contribute to a positive patient experience.

Part-time rotating days/evenings/nights and every other weekend, with minimum age 18 and preferred Associates degree or CNA certification. Prior PCT experience strongly valued; strong communication and compassion are essential for safe, quality care.

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 18.
• Associates degree preferred; nursing fundamentals or CNA certification strongly preferred.
• One year experience as a medical assistant/technician in a health-related facility preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning of equipment, stocks supplies, and prepares rooms for admissions.
• Provides safe care addressing nutrition, skin integrity, elimination and hygiene needs.
• Under RN supervision, performs vitals, EKG, and patient admission/discharge tasks.
• Collects/disposes of specimens as required and assists with ambulation and transfers.
• Responds promptly to patient calls and maintains safety and professionalism.
