Job summary

UTMB Health is seeking a Nurse Clinician III (RN) for the Emergency Department at Clear Lake, 12P-12A. The role requires a current Texas RN license, BLS, ACLS and PALS/ENPC certifications, with TNCC required within 6 months of hire for non-experienced ED nurses.

Experienced ED nurses must have applicable ED experience at hire; new hires must obtain TNCC within six months. The position emphasizes interprofessional collaboration, critical thinking and compassionate patient care under UTMB policies.

Qualifications

• Current Texas RN license, BLS, ACLS and PALS/ENPC certifications required.
• Experienced ED nurses must be hired with ED experience or obtain TNCC within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document daily patient care in ED.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure patient-centered care.
• Provide patient and family education and discharge planning per policy.
• Maintain accurate documentation and use clinical skills in emergency situations.
