Job summary

Samaritan Health Services in Albany, Oregon seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver age-appropriate, direct and indirect patient care in the Emergency Department. The RN will apply the nursing process within the Oregon State Board of Nursing scope, handling a wide range of urgent and emergent cases.

Requirements include a current Oregon RN license, BLS, and within 90 days ACLS/PALS; TNCC/ATCN within six months; and at least three years of ED experience, with discharge planning

Qualifications

• Current unencumbered Oregon RN license.
• Healthcare Provider Level BLS required upon hire.
• ACLS and PALS required within 90 days of hire.
• TNCC/ATCN required within six (6) months of hire.
• Three (3) years of Emergency Department Experience required.
• Experience and/or training in discharge planning or case management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, age-appropriate nursing care using the nursing process and within the scope defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
• Deliver direct and indirect patient care in the Emergency Department for a wide range of acute and urgent conditions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes and efficient care transitions.
