Job summary

Jamestown Regional Medical Center in Jamestown, ND seeks an Emergency Department Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide safe, timely, evidence-based care across the lifespan in a busy ED. The role collaborates with physicians, nurses, EMS, and support staff to evaluate, diagnose, treat, and disposition patients.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nurse practitioner or physician assistant training program.
• Must hold state NP/PA licensure; DEA certification required.
• Experience in Emergency Department or critical care preferred.
• Strong history of evidence-based practice and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive ED evaluations and develop treatment plans.
• Order and interpret tests; coordinate admissions.
• Provide diagnoses and manage acute and chronic ED conditions.
• Document thoroughly and maintain compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with ED team and respond to trauma activations.
