St. Francis-Emory Healthcare in Columbus, GA seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the Emergency Department.

The LPN provides patient care under RN or physician direction, observing patients, gathering data, administering medications and IV therapy, and performing delegated tasks in a fast-paced environment. The role requires an accredited Practical Nursing program graduate, current LPN license, and BLS certification; ACLS/PALS required within policy timeframe.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing Program required.
• Current LPN license.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS and PALS certification required within facility policy timeframe.
• ED experience, EMS or military medical background preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide safe, effective nursing care under RN supervision in the ED and other units as needed.
• Assess and document patient conditions, vitals, and symptoms.
• Administer medications and IV therapy within LPN scope of practice.
• Complete delegated tasks and report findings to RN and providers.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and documentation standards.
• Support staffing efforts and participate in departmental operations.
• Uphold professionalism and integrity in all interactions.
• Mentor and support onboarding of new staff.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and competency.
