Advocate Health's Lexington Medical Center Emergency Department seeks a Full-time Licensed Practical Nurse. The role includes direct patient care, assessments, and implementing care plans under RN supervision. Requires LPN licensure and BLS within 6 months.

36 hours per week; 7a–7p with every other weekend. Inpatient duties include IV therapy, wound care, meds, and patient education. Benefits include comprehensive health plans, PTO, retirement programs, and educational assistance.

Formación

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in Practical Nursing.
• No experience required.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the state where the team member practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months unless exempt.

Responsabilidades

• Provides direct patient care according to established policies, procedures, and standards of care.
• Assists with assessment by collecting and documenting data including biological, psychological, social and cultural factors. Detects changes and reports to the RN.
• Assists with developing the plan of care and implements as directed by the RN.
• Supports patient teaching according to the care plan.
• Documents nursing interventions and patient responses; communicates changes to the RN.
• Communicates changes in medical orders to the RN.
• Performs clinical tasks such as medication administration, IV therapy, wound care, venipuncture.
• Performs patient positioning and transporting with proper technique.
• Demonstrates age-specific care knowledge and applies department policies.
