Job summary

Elizabethtown Community Hospital in Elizabethtown, NY seeks an ER Technician to provide direct care under RN supervision in the Emergency Department. This per diem, part-time role supports variable weekend shifts and higher patient volumes.

Qualifications

• Must be high school graduate or equivalent.
• Experience as nurse aide or EMT preferred, or ability to complete training.
• Must possess a high level of interpersonal skills to interact with patient’s families, staff and management.
• Must be highly motivated, able to work outside the normal working hours as volume demands.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Perform direct care activities which are allowed to be delegated to unlicensed personnel under hospital policies.
