Job summary

NMC Health in the Wichita Metro Area is seeking an Emergency Room Technician for our Emergency Room Department. This role provides support to coworkers and patients, including obtaining lab work, completing EKGs, providing one-on-one observation, restocking patient care areas, and assisting others as part of the interdisciplinary team.

Part-time position with opportunities to work alongside a knowledgeable staff using the latest technology.

Qualifications

• No prior work experience required.
• EMT/AEMT/Paramedic certifications specific to Kansas.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Strong communication with doctors and families.

Responsibilities

• Obtain lab work and complete EKGs for patients.
• Provide one-on-one observation and monitor patient status.
• Restock patient care areas and assist care team as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to deliver care.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

• No prior work experience required
• Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification in the state of Kansas
• Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) certification in the state of Kansas
• Paramedic certification in the state of Kansas

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• Must be comfortable reassuring families and communicating with doctors, as well as tending to the needs of his or her patients .

Licensure, registration and certification:

• Current Certification EMT/CNA/AEMT/Paramedic
• CPR/Basic Life Support Certification
