The registered nurse assumes principal responsibility for total care of assigned clients in the respective unit. Responsibilities include assessment, reassessment, establishing nursing diagnoses, formulating the written plan of care, implementing care, and evaluating care.
The nurse initiates healthcare training and education for clients and families as required, supporting the goals of Andalusia Health and the Department of Nursing. Demonstrates awareness of the ongoing needs of the unit and provides leadership and direction to other team members to maintain optimal standards of nursing care.
This position is accountable for supervising other licensed and non-licensed nursing personnel in the assigned units.
