Kaiser Permanente in California serves as a leading health care provider in the South San Francisco area. We are seeking an entry-level receptionist to greet, assist, and register patients presenting for treatment at the So San Francisco Hospital emergency department.

The role involves handling calls, maintaining professional conduct, and supporting a fast-paced, on-site environment during the night shift. A high school diploma and basic medical terminology knowledge are required, with 25 WPM

Basic Qualifications

• High School diploma
• Typing of 25 WPM
• Knowledge of medical terminology required
• Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of medical experience
• Six (6) months experience in a hospital/clerical setting or medical office
• Ability to work productively in a busy and complex environment
• Reception and cash handling experience
• Prefer experience with PS3 scheduling and staffing system
