Job summary

UF Health in Florida is seeking a Registered Nurse to supervise and coordinate nursing activities for assigned staff and patient groups. You will use the Nursing Process to deliver care, evaluate performance, and assist with ongoing projects under the Supervisor’s direction.

The role requires an Associate’s Degree with active Florida licensure, and a BSN within three years. You should hold BLS; ACLS, PALS, NRP and STABLE certifications as specified, with recertification per division timelines.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing is required.
• BSN degree must be obtained within three years of hire or transfer.
• Current Florida nursing license is required.
• BLS certification required for all areas.
• ACLS certification required at hire for Code Blue Team; ACLS within six months for other units.
• PALS certification required within six months where specified.
• NRP certification required within six months for Code Blue team and related units.
• STABLE certification required within six months and renewed every two years.

Responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate, and control nursing activities of assigned staff under supervision.
• Assist Supervisor in evaluating staff and completing assigned projects.
• Provide patient care using the Nursing Process for all patient age groups.
• Maintain nursing schedules and orient new employees.
