Responsibilities

• Process ER patients and update patient information.
• Verify insurance details and collect co-pays.
• Issue patient numbers according to policy.
• Obtain consents from patients or guardians.
• Update all patient information and census data.
• Complete ER and Medicare paperwork.
• Process all accident information for workers' compensation.
• Scan paperwork for medical records.
• Process Medicaid claims.
• Complete reports and census as assigned.
• Coordinate with admissions team and healthcare providers.
• Maintain confidentiality and compliance with hospital policies.

shift: Rotating Schedule

Position Summary: Responsible for processing ER patients updating patient information, verifying insurance and other duties assigned.

1.Follow all policies and procedures set forth by the Hospital.

2.Develop and maintain knowledge of all rules and guidelines that are needed to properly and professionally complete my job duties.

3.Issue patient numbers according to Bedside Triage Policy.

4.Obtain consents

5.Update all patient information and verify insurance.

6.Complete Census

7. Process all reports assigned

8.Complete all paperwork on ER and Medicare patients such as Patient Bill of Rights, Medicare Questionnaire, Medicare Discharge papers.

9.Complete all accident information for workman comp and return to the proper personal.

10. Scan all paperwork For medical records.

11. Process Medicaid claims

12.Collect Co-pay and Co-insurance

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

-High School Graduate with previous experience preferred.

-Clerical experience preferred
