Job summary

Grady Health System in Atlanta is seeking a Full-Time CT Technologist for the day shift to support diagnostic imaging at our new Freestanding Emergency Department. This role is ideal for imaging professionals who thrive in a fast-paced emergency care environment and are committed to delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging.

The CT Technologist performs CT and general radiography procedures under the direction of a Radiologist, serving pediatric and adult patients while upholding patient safety

Qualifications

  • Requires High School Diploma or GED.
  • Associate’s Degree from an approved school of Radiologic Technology.
  • ARRT registration as a Registered Technologist.
  • BLS certification required.
  • ARRT-CT certification within six months of hire, if applicable.
  • Maintain ARRT/NMTCB continuing education credits and license renewal.
  • Proficiency in general radiography (X-ray).

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT imaging procedures in accordance with established imaging protocols and radiologist direction.
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic images to support rapid and accurate clinical interpretation in an emergency care setting.
  • Perform general radiography (X-ray) procedures as needed to support emergency department imaging needs.
  • Provide imaging services for pediatric and adult patient populations.
  • Monitor and support patient safety, comfort, and care throughout imaging procedures.
  • Collaborate with emergency physicians, radiologists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support coordinated patient care.
  • Maintain efficient patient flow and imaging throughput within the emergency department environment.
  • Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory and departmental standards.
  • Maintain compliance with licensure, certification, and continuing education requirements.
