ROLE FOCUS
This role involves applying a patient-centered approach in treatments, assessments, and all patient care activities. It offers opportunities for growth towards VTS certification and leadership roles, with autonomous decision-making in patient treatment planning.

RESPONSIBILITIES
All team members will:

  • Provide compassionate care to patients and clients.
  • Perform nursing care, patient monitoring, and treatments.
  • Assess patients and triage appropriately.
  • Administer medications and manage fluid therapies.
  • Participate in patient rounds and diagnostic procedures.
  • Perform CPR as a RECOVER Certified Rescuer.

Additional responsibilities for veterinary technicians include:

  • Managing anesthesia and advanced vascular access.
  • Performing ultrasonography and other advanced diagnostics.
  • Contributing to treatment and care planning.
  • Mentoring team members and pursuing growth opportunities.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent, credentialed as a veterinary technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT), with at least 1 year of experience, preferably in emergency or specialty medicine. Strong communication, motor skills, and physical ability to lift up to 25 kg are required.
