Job summary

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, EMT or CNA certification (preferred), BLS within 6 months, and at least one year of hospital-based patient care; in lieu of experience, graduation from an accredited EMT program

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year direct patient care exp in hospital setting required.
• EMT or CNA certification preferred or in lieu of experience EMT program graduate.
• Georgia EMT/CNA certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist nurse with direct patient care in EC per scope.
• Monitor and document patient status and vitals; report changes to EC staff.
• Assist physicians and nursing personnel during assessment/reassessment/treatment.
• Maintain clean, safe environment and proper documentation in medical records.
• Support patient throughput in collaboration with Flow Coordinator and zone nurse.
