ChristianaCare's Wilmington Hospital in Delaware seeks an Emergency Care Technician to support patients in the Emergency Department under RN supervision.

The role includes hygiene tasks, vital signs, EKGs, venipuncture, phlebotomy, and assisting with labs; full-time flex shifts with weekend/holiday rotation.

Competenze

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Previous work experience or completion of Patient Care Technician and/or Phlebotomist programs.

Our Wilmington Emergency Department houses a Level III Trauma Center. We seek an Emergency Care Technician to care for patients in our Emergency Department.

About this Position

Under nursing, the Emergency Care Tech’s primary function is to perform hygiene/comfort measures and selected nursing and phlebotomy procedures for patients under the supervision and direction of the professional nurse. Acquiring vital signs and performing EKG’s are also required. We seek someone who can demonstrate the skills and knowledge necessary to provide care appropriate to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult & geriatric patients. Should demonstrate the ability to obtain information and identify patient needs and provide care as needed.

Hours:

• This is a Full-Time Flex position / 72 hours per bi-weekly pay
• Various shifts are available and will be discussed during the interview
• There is a weekend rotation (every other weekend) and a holiday rotation requirement (1 summer holiday and 1 winter holiday if you work a 12-hour shift).

Requirements:

• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Previous work experience or completion of Patient Care Technician and/or Phlebotomist programs.

Hourly Pay Range: $20.24 - $30.36

This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
