Lehigh Valley Health Network seeks an experienced RN leader for the Emergency Department to ensure and oversee patient care in alignment with the RN job description. The role directs staffing, clinical and administrative duties in the assigned unit under the Director’s guidance.

Responsibilities include staff coaching, performance appraisals, and enforcing patient safety and quality standards while managing resources and facilitating effective teamwork across shifts.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is required.
• 3 years Registered nurse experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support – State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire.
• RN - Licensed Registered Nurse_PA – State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire.
• Ability to teach and direct others with positivity and encouragement.
• Demonstrated proficiency in directing and guiding personnel.

• Oversees administrative and operational issues for the designated care delivery team.
• Functions as a department team leader to support unit and hospital goals and objectives.
• Uses effective and appropriate communication styles with patients, significant others, visitors, staff, and professional colleagues.
• Supports the Culture of Safety by following established policies and procedures which include identification and timely patient safety event reporting.
• Participates in coaching, counseling, and mentoring of unit personnel.
• Participates in completing performance appraisal of team members.
• Assumes unit, clinical, and administrative responsibilities in the absence of the Director with Administration approval and under the supervision of the Patient Care Services management staff.
• Provides clinical, consultative, technical, or informational services as needed to staff, other disciplines, patients, and/or families.
