Lumio Dental in Topeka is seeking a Dental Assistant to work closely with doctors and provide chairside support for patients. The role emphasizes delivering compassionate care across procedures from diagnostic X-Rays to fluoride treatments.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; open to new students.
• Ability to record and manage treatment information accurately.
• Comfort working shoulder-to-shoulder with doctors to deliver chairside care.

Responsibilities

• Expose dental diagnostic X-Ray.
• Record treatment information in patient records
• Take and record medical and dental histories and vital signs of patients.
• Clean teeth using dental instruments, including cleaning and polishing removable appliances.
• Apply a protective coating of fluoride to teeth.
• Fabricate temporary restorations and custom impressions from preliminary impressions.
• Instruct patients in oral hygiene and plaque control programs.
• Pour, trim, and polish study casts.
