Ellie Mental Health in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Trauma Focused Therapist to help clients heal using EMDR, Brainspotting, and trauma-informed approaches. You will assess, plan, and deliver high-quality therapy within a supportive clinician-centered culture.

We value flexible scheduling, professional development, and ongoing clinical supervision. Candidates should be licensed in Alabama or eligible for licensure, with 2+ years of therapy experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, MFT, Psychology, or related field.
• Active Alabama licensure or associate-level registration.
• 2+ years of clinical therapy experience preferred.
• Experience with EMDR, Brainspotting, or other evidence-based trauma treatments preferred.
• Experience with diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, and clinical documentation.
• Familiarity with EHR systems, insurance billing, and community resources.

Responsibilities

• Complete diagnostic assessments and individualized treatment plans.
• Provide high-quality, trauma-informed therapy.
• Use evidence-based and creative therapeutic interventions.
• Maintain a caseload of 27+ sessions per week for full-time clinicians.
• Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation.
• Participate in clinical meetings, consultation, and training.

About the Role

We're seeking a Trauma Focused Therapist who is passionate about helping clients heal and grow. We're especially interested in clinicians with experience in EMDR, Brainspotting, trauma-focused therapy, or other trauma-informed approaches.

Preferred Licensure

• LPC or ALC
• LCSW or LMSW
• LMFT or LMFT-A
• Clinicians expected to achieve full licensure within six months are encouraged to apply
