Job summary

Anduril Industries in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking an Electrical System Test Engineer to join our fast-paced team. You will work with avionics, system, and software engineers to create test systems for development, qualification, verification, and validation.

The role emphasizes EMC readiness, harness design, test hardware setups, and cross‑discipline collaboration to keep milestones on track while delivering reliable tests and documentation.

Qualifications

• Must hold a bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years design experience with NX CAD for 3D modeling/drafting.
• Experience designing electrical harnessing for rugged applications.
• Familiarity with CAN, Ethernet, RS422/RS232, MIL-STD-1553 interfaces.
• Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (Altium, OrCAD, KiCad).
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and harness drawings.

Responsibilities

• Own EMC test readiness end-to-end from designs to schedules.
• Create test systems to support all product development phases.
• Define cable harnesses, interfaces, and test hardware setups.
• Collaborate with SW/FW for test modes, stimulation, and telemetry.
• Configure DUT operating modes for EMC testing.
• Develop and maintain test documentation.
• Drive on-time delivery of test hardware and fixtures.
• Manage test schedule and remove blockers to reduce dead time.
• Escalate schedule risks to keep milestones on track.
• Participate in design reviews to identify issues and influence design choices.
• Conduct root cause analysis for vehicle integration and field ops.
