Job summary

Rohde & Schwarz seeks an EMC Solutions Engineer to support advanced Test & Measurement systems and lead demonstrations in the EMC portfolio. This role is based in Milpitas, CA or Seattle, WA with travel above 50%, including international trips to Germany.

You will work with the EMC Business Development team to grow our EMC business, develop sales tools, create demonstrations, and train field resources while delivering remote technical support to maximize system performance.

Qualifications

• BSEE (or equivalent).
• Strong EMC and test equipment background is required.
• Understanding of EMC standards and test methodologies; setting up and running EMC test systems preferred.
• Knowledge of EMC automation software tools.
• Ability to create and present technical content around EMC Testing via webinars and seminars.
• Strong knowledge of RF fundamentals, EMC and system integration.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, networking, and integrated test systems.
• Experience managing technical support cases using ticket management systems; excellent analytical, communication and customer interface skills.
• Ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams – Sales, Systems, Services and Support.
• Ability to travel domestically >50% and some international travel; US residency and citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the EMC BDM Team to drive and grow the EMC Business including systems and instruments.
• Be the expert resource around the EMC portfolio – Systems, instruments and software.
• Contribute to the development of sales/marketing tools including white papers, application notes and demonstration guides.
• Develop and execute complex demonstrations around EMC solutions and systems.
• Create and present technical content around EMC Testing through seminars/webinars for internal and external customers.
• Help develop and train field application resources to become more self-sufficient in discussing EMC solutions.
• Provide advanced technical support for complex EMC and RSE test systems.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics, and root cause analysis for hardware, software, and integrated systems.
• Provide remote technical guidance to field personnel to reduce downtime and onsite visits.
• Identify recurring issues and recommend corrective actions and service improvements.
• Participate in customer technical reviews and continuous service improvement initiatives.
