Job summary

Garmin is seeking a Senior Compliance Engineer to ensure product compliance across international regulatory, EMC, RF, and related requirements for global markets. You will work with cross‑functional teams including product development, electrical, mechanical, RF, software, manufacturing and quality to identify requirements, assess risk and drive compliant designs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer/RF Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of relevant compliance experience.
Working knowledge of EMC and RF test methodologies.
Experience with country certifications or homologations.
Ability to explain and document regulatory and standards requirements.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Develop regulatory, certification and market access requirements for Garmin’s products in development.
Develop compliance plans supporting product development and global market access.
Participate in design reviews and lead compliance and safety design review meetings.
Plan, coordinate and oversee pre-compliance testing for EMC/RF and other issues.
Work with onsite and 3rd party labs to implement compliance strategies.
Review test reports and conformity documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Mentor and guide junior Compliance Engineers.
Contribute to governance, processes and guidelines for the Compliance department.
