Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking an EMC Technician 1 for the Red Ink EMC Lab. This entry-level position supports developmental and pre-compliance EMC testing of Milwaukee Tool products. You will learn to operate specialized test equipment, set up configurations, collect data, and maintain a safe lab environment.

The role trains in EMC standards, engages with stakeholders, and advances hands-on testing capabilities. Shift: 1st from 8:00am–4:30pm, on-site at our Wisconsin facility.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in electrical engineering technology or related field, or HS diploma with 2+ years lab experience.
• Ability to work independently while taking direction from engineers/technicians.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures.
• Experience with electronic test equipment like oscilloscopes, power supplies, and multimeters.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment, cables, antennas, probes and fixtures per lab procedures.
• Perform pre-compliance EMC testing per international standards and internal requirements.
• Operate test equipment including spectrum analyzers, generators, amplifiers, receivers, oscilloscopes.
• Document test results and observations in standardized reports.
• Assist with troubleshooting test setups and issues.
• Communicate test status and findings to lab engineering staff.
• Develop familiarity with EMC standards and lab practices.
• Support preventive maintenance and continuous improvement in the lab.
• Ensure lab safety procedures are followed at all times.
