Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an EMC/EMI Test Technician (2nd Shift) in Bastrop, TX to ensure electronics performance in harsh electromagnetic environments. You will focus on EMC/EMI testing for Starlink hardware, including phased array dishes and related support equipment, interfacing with design, manufacturing, and mission operations teams.

The role involves operating test equipment (spectrum analyzer, VNA, power meter, oscilloscope), documenting results, and verifying compliance with relevant standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electronics or 2+ years in electronics.
• 2+ years of testing consumer electronics or electrical hardware.
• 2+ years of EMC testing experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform EMC/EMI emission and immunity testing of electrical systems and components.
• Read, interpret, and work from controlled documentation and processes.
• Operate spectrum analyzer, VNA, power meter, high‑power amplifier, and oscilloscope.
• Independently verify and document results clearly and precisely.
• Troubleshoot complex problems with minimal direction.
• Support engineers and test management with testing and R&D projects.
• Maintain test equipment and oversee calibration processes.
