Job summary

Staples Promotional Products in Orange City, IA is seeking a fabric embroidery associate to inspect embroidered goods and prepare them for shipping. You will read work orders, determine design placements, remove backings, fold and stack items, and attach barcodes or labels as needed.

This shift runs 3:15pm–12:45am Mon-Thu and 12:00pm–4:00pm Fri, and pay is piece-rate starting at $21.25/hour with a $1.50 shift differential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years embroidery equipment experience.
• Basic English language skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for shifts.

Responsibilities

• Inspect embroidered products and prepare them for shipping or storage.
• Use work orders to determine design placement on garments.
• Review work orders and remove embroidery backings.
• Fold, stack and sort products by color and size.
• Attach barcodes, stickers and hang tags as needed.
• Complete production paperwork and ensure accuracy.
• Work in a temperature-controlled environment.

Pay: This is a Piece Rate position starting at $21.25/Hourly (*$1.50/Hourly Shift Differential included)

Shift Hours: 3:15pm-12:45am/Monday-Thursday and 12:00pm-4:00pm/Fridays

What you'll be doing:

• Work in a temperature-controlled building/environment.
• Inspect embroidered products (e.g., shirts, sweatshirts, coats, sweatpants, shorts, etc.) and prepare them for shipping or storage.
• Use work order to determine proper design placement on the garment.
• Review work orders.
• Remove embroidery design backings.
• Fold and stack package products.
• Sort finished products according to colors and sizes.
• Attach barcodes, stickers, and hang tags to products when necessary.
• Complete production tracking paperwork and verifies that it is accurate.

• Ability to read and comprehend a work order
• Ability to process work orders accurately, efficiently, and safely with minimal errors
• Detail oriented to ensure high-quality embroidery design standards are met
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work

Qualifications:

What's needed- Basic Qualifications:

• 1+ years knowledge of related embroidery equipment including their uses, adjustments, and maintenance
• 1+ years of utilizing basic math skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds 3-4 feet high in order to move and stack boxes and totes full of product
• Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, and grip throughout work shift
• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic English language skills (both verbal and written communications).
