Job summary

Apple is seeking a Cellular 4G/5G System Performance Engineer to drive embedded firmware initiatives within a silicon design group, delivering advanced wireless system performance. You will work across disciplines to transform improved hardware elements into a single, integrated design and help shape next‑generation 4G/5G firmware.

This role requires expertise in embedded system/firmware verification, strong debugging and collaboration skills, and the ability to navigate evolving requirements in

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; knowledge of 4G/5G physical layer, protocol stack and procedures
Knowledge of 4G/5G development / system engineering / device performance verification
Knowledge of investigating and troubleshooting cellular device performance issues
Analysis and debugging capabilities to debug performance issues with firmware and systems design teams
Understanding of software engineering principles and core computer science fundamentals
Ability to script or program in Python, C/C++
Experience with 4G/5G signaling and physical layer test equipment (Keysight/Anritsu/R&S) and their automation interfaces

Responsibilities

Develop embedded firmware for 4G/5G systems and cellular devices
