Job summary

Brooks Automation is seeking a Camera Vision Software Engineer to develop and test image processing algorithms for robotic systems in semiconductor equipment.

You will design CV/ML pipelines using OpenCV and TensorFlow, implement in C#/C++ on Windows/Linux, and collaborate with ME, EE, and SW teams to deliver robust, production-ready software. Expect hands-on work with datasets, testing on hardware, and optimizing performance for embedded platforms.

Qualifications

• MS or BS in computer science or equivalent, with CV and image processing experience.
• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience in programming C# and/or C++.
• Fluency with UML for OO analysis/design, including state machines.
• Experience with multi-threading and network communication.
• Experience with machine vision and OpenCV.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test image processing algorithms for robotic systems.
• Gather requirements, write specs, and design software components.
• Implement designs in C#/C++ and perform code reviews.
• Design test cases, run unit tests, and validate on hardware.
