Job summary

Zaden Technologies, Inc. seeks an Embedded Software Engineer specializing in Automated Quality & Test to support IVNV and software development for critical defense systems.

You will design automated test frameworks for embedded software and integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid, secure delivery. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in embedded testing, strong C/C++ and Python skills, experience with test frameworks, and familiarity with VxWorks/FreeRTOS.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of embedded software testing or QA experience.
• Strong programming in C/C++ and Python for test automation.
• Experience developing automated test frameworks for embedded systems.
• Familiarity with CI tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Experience with version control (Git).
• Knowledge of testing methodologies: black-box, white-box, gray-box.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for embedded software.
• Implement testing strategies including unit, integration, system, and regression testing.
• Develop and execute automated tests for RTOS and embedded applications.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and delivery.
• Create and maintain test infrastructure using HIL and SIL approaches.
• Collaborate with firmware engineers to define testability requirements and improve code coverage.
• Develop automated performance and stress testing tools for embedded systems.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain test documentation, metrics, and reporting dashboards for quality visibility.
• Support DevSecOps practices by integrating security testing into automated quality workflows.
